Scott Allen After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in history from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon in 1988, Scott joined Food for the Hungry International where he served until 2007 holding positions in both Japan and the United States in areas of human resources, staff training and program management. Along with Darrow Miller and Bob Moffitt, Scott helped launch the Disciple Nations Alliance in 1997.
Scott He has authored and co-written a number of books including The Forest in the Seed: A Biblical Perspective on Resources and Development; God’s Remarkable Plan for the Nations, God’s Unshakable Kingdom, The Worldview of the Kingdom of God, and Against All Hope: Hope for Africa. In addition to writing, Scott is an active teacher. He has presented at Vision Conferences in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the United States. He is a regular teacher with the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement. Scott is currently President of the Disciple Nations Alliance, U.S. He lives with his wife Kim in Phoenix Arizona where they homeschool their four children. The Power of an Undivided Life Landa Cope Landa Cope is the Founding International Dean of the College of Communication for Youth With A Mission’s University of the Nations. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Education and a Master’s degree in Humanities and International Studies. Since joining Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in 1971, her public speaking and work in missions have taken her to more than 110 nations. Landa has lived and worked in North Africa, the Pacific and Europe. She spent eight years developing and launching the communications and fundraising work of Mercy Ships International, serving as the Communications Officer. In 1984, Landa moved to Kona, Hawaii where she founded the International College of Communication, one of seven colleges in the UofN. Students are trained in interactive media, digital communication, video, film, photography, graphics, illustration, marketing, radio, writing, journalism and developing mass media. Graduates have been placed in some of the highest-ranking communication businesses in the industry internationally. The College of Communication has locations in Australia, North America, South America, Europe and Africa. Landa Cope is in high demand around the world to speak to religious, political, business and professional leaders on the subject of what scripture teaches us practically about discipling nations. She is the author of “Clearly Communicating Christ”, a book about Jesus-style communication and “The Old Testament Template.” Landa currently lives in South Africa. In 2005 Landa founded The Template Institute committed to providing seminars and materials for the development of Biblical thinking in the professions as well as a comprehensive Biblical approach to issues in the public forum. She currently serves as Executive Director of TTI. Books The Old Testament Template: Rediscovering God’s Principles for Discipling Nations Articles and Papers Vishal Mangalwadi Vishal is an international lecturer, social reformer, political columnist, and author of thirteen books. Born and raised in India, he studied philosophy at universities, in Hindu ashrams, and at L’Abri Fellowship in Switzerland. In 1976 he turned down several job offers in the West to return to India where he and his wife, Ruth, founded a community to serve the rural poor. Vishal continued his involvement in community development serving at the headquarters of two national political parties, where he worked for the empowerment and liberation of peasants and the lower castes.His first book, The World of Gurus, was published in 1977 by India's Vikas Publishing House, and serialized in India’s then-largest weekly, Sunday. It was Mangalwadi’s books, In Search of Self and India: The Grand Experiment, that first brought his works to the attention of the American public. In demand worldwide, Vishal is a dynamic, engaging speaker who has lectured in 27 countries. He enjoys simplifying complex ideas and inspiring despairing hearts with hope. Vishal and Ruth are currently in the United States for the production of a television documentary, The Book of the Millennium: How the Bible Changed Civilization, a project inspired by Vishal and Ruth’s recognition of India’s need for the reforming power of the Bible. Tongoi Dennis is Executive Director of Church Mission Society (CMS) Africa and General Secretary of Samaritan Strategy Africa, the Africa alliance partner of the Disciple Nations Alliance. Dennis is a gifted leader, facilitator, teacher and social activist. He is founder and Chairman of Christians for a Just Society, an organization which seeks to mobilize the Kenyan Church to stand against corruption and support just political leadership. He also served as the National Director for The Navigators in Kenya from 1995-2000. He is author of Mixing God with Money: Strategies for Living in an Uncertain Economy published in 2001. He and his wife Irene have three grown children. They reside in Nairobi, Kenya. Books Mixing God with Money: Strategies for Living in an Uncertain Economy Elizabeth Youmans Elizabeth Youmans has served North American Christian education as a classroom teacher, school administrator, trainer of teachers, graduate school professor, curriculum writer, and editor of The Noah Plan, a K-12 published Principle Approach® curriculum. With a quarter century of pioneering experience in Word-centered education at the local and national level, she now imparts the vision for educational reform internationally by laying teaching and learning solidly on the foundation of Christ and His Word through her role as founder and VPO of Chrysalis International. Dr. Youmans is associated with many outstanding Christian educators. For over twenty years she co-labored with Dr. Carole Adams as a founding parent and educator at StoneBridge School to establish the vision and pioneer the expression of Christian education as a national demonstration school in the Principle Approach®. StoneBridge School is an A.C.S.I. accredited, K4-12 day school located in Chesapeake, Virginia, where she continues to serve on the Board of Directors. Dr. Youmans served four years as the director of StoneBridge Educational Foundation and developed a national training program for teacher training in the Principle Approach. She also labored with Rosalie Slater, the architect of the Principle Approach, at the Foundation for American Christian Education. As the director of educational projects for six years, she compiled and wrote curriculum guides and edited The Noah Plan®, a published K-12 curriculum for Christian schools and home school settings. For the past eighteen years, she has traveled throughout the United States and the world as a conference speaker and consultant to Christian school founders, pastors, faculties, and home schoolers. She has helped establish their vision and expression of Christian education by consulting with pastors and administrators and training faculties. Dr. Youmans is a visiting professor at Regent University, a Christian graduate school located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She has taught on-line distance and traditional campus courses in the School of Education for 10 years where she mentors students and international leaders and sees them return to their countries and establish institutes, Christian schools, and training centers. She served as a dietitian at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, minored in music at the undergraduate level, has lived with her family in Stuttgart, Germany, and is the mother of four grown children and grandmother of six grandchildren. |
