“The world is looking for scientific, medical and economic solutions to the Goliaths of our day such as Poverty, HIV/AIDS and Ideological Conflict. However, I am convinced that the real solution is found in a changed mind that will usher people into new attitudes, behaviors and structures. The Disciple Nations Alliance training offers a church-based solution capable of combating the Goliaths and transforming nations.”

Gary Edmonds,
Former Secretary General, World Evangelical Alliance

The Monday Church Conference

The Monday Church Conference aims to change the paradigm of the Church regarding its relationship in society.

How can the Church be the Church, not just as it congregates on Sunday, but as it scatters into every sphere of society on Monday? The Monday Church Conference answers this question by calling and equipping Christians to live “Coram Deo” –before the face of God—in all areas of life and every sphere of society.

Intended to build on the foundation of the Vision Conference, the Monday Church Conference helps Christians apply biblical worldview and wholistic ministry principles in the areas of their calling and vocation.

The Monday Church Conference is for formal leaders OF the Church (pastors, elders, deacons, priests and bishops). It is also for leaders IN the Church—members of local churches who are leaders in their homes, in the marketplace and in the public square.

The first Monday Church Conference was conducted in Nairobi, Kenya in September 2007 by Disciple Nations Alliance Africa affiliate Samaritan Strategy Africa.

Objectives of the Monday Church Conference:

  • To envision leaders OF and IN the Church of the sacredness of the vocational calling of all Christians—not just clergy
  • To envision leaders OF the Church to equip leaders IN the Church to fulfill their priestly callings in every sector of society
  • To promote dialogue and develop strategies for intentional engagement of the Church in the sectors of society including family life, education, arts, media, entertainment, health, government, business, agriculture, and more.

Topics include:

  • Recovering an understanding of the cultural/dominion mandate (Gen. 1:28-29)
  • The central role of the family in discipling the nations
  • The “Gates of the City”: How Christians can re-claim roles of cultural influence in the sectors and spheres of society
  • The role of formal church leadership in equipping the saints to be the Monday Church
  • Developing a biblical theology of vocation
  • Developing sector-based strategies and action plans
