Interested in hosting a Disciple Nations Alliance seminar in your area? Here’s what to do:Step 1: Determine if there is a critical mass of interest in your area for hosting a DNA seminar. Step 2: Form an organizing team or committee. This committee—usually three to five people—could include respected leaders from local churches, seminaries, Bible schools, denominations or other Christian ministry leaders. Our desire is to see the body of Christ working together, so the greater the diversity of organizations represented on the coordinating committee, the better! When inviting members to join the planning team, consider people who are respected local Christian leaders. Also include people who have the necessary time and administrative gifts needed to manage the many tasks required for hosting a DNA conference. Step 3: Complete a DNA Seminar Proposal Form. Once complete, send it to the DNA Conference Coordinator for our consideration and response. Step 4: Wait for confirmation from the DNA Conference Coordinator. All seminar proposals are prayerfully considered. Step 5: If your proposal is approved, work with the DNA Conference Coordinator to determine the dates of the conference and the trainers who will facilitate. Step 6: Get planning!
Who Pays? As the local hosting committee, you will be responsible for planning and hosting the conference and covering all local expenses with local resources. Costs will include (but are not limited to):
Most hosting committees charge conference participants a reasonable/affordable fee to attend the conference in order to cover part or all of the planning committee’s costs for hosting the conference. A Word on Trainers The DNA will provide one or two professional trainers for approved seminars and conferences. DNA trainers reside in North America, Latin America, Africa and Asia and speak a variety of languages. Where possible, we will send trainers who speak the local language or are familiar with the local culture and customs. It is not unusual for trainers to have to fly internationally to conduct a seminar or conference. Remember, it is normally the local planning committee’s responsibility to cover all transportation, food and lodging costs for DNA trainers. In rare cases, the DNA office will provide a travel grant to help cover transportation costs for the trainer. Still want to host a conference or seminar?
