You now can read all of the lessons from the Coram Deo: Basics course in German, thanks to a dedicated volunteer!

In March 2015, Dr. Eva Vaylann from Germany emailed to thank us for the Coram Deo online course which she had just completed with a friend who went on to do an outreach to Syrian refugees in her community.
Eva
Eva is a scientist in the field of biochemistry and molecular medicine, and her husband is a surgeon. Together, they founded actMED.

“And here is the point,” Eva wrote. “As described in your Coram Deo course, true transformation is hard work—the exchange of cultural and personal lies against the biblical truth…. Thank you for your help. Be blessed in your important work!”

Since then, Eva has:
  1. Translated all of the Coram Deo video lesson transcripts into German for sharing with discipleship groups in her church and other friends
  2. Connected with the Transforming Nations Alliance, our affiliate organization in Uganda, and invited them to do biblical-worldview training with local actMED staff in Nampula Province, Mozambique
  3. Translated DNA content into Portuguese for training use in Mozambique

Eva’s roommate, friend and Coram Deo study partner, also has taken it upon herself to initiate translation of this course into Thai and Lahu, for the Thai community living in Germany and the rural tribe of Lahu people in northern Thailand.

Act MED 1
Their concept is to train, equip and inspire individuals to develop as God designed, applying the whole gospel and biblical guidelines to all aspects of life as God created us to do.

Since 2007, Eva and her husband have spent several months each year in different African countries, working in hospitals while making contacts with the ministries of health and crucial policy makers. Out of this, they founded actMED to do community development through medical care, education and community work.

Check out the German transcripts now, and share them with your friends!

Understanding the Battle of Worldviews with Dr. Jeff Myers

“If you don’t understand the battle of worldviews, you can’t really understand anything.” This statement from today’s guest, Dr. Jeff Myers, summarizes the episode well. Dr. Myers, president of Summit Ministries, brings us boots-on-the-ground perspectives from three of the most active theaters in the battle of worldviews: the battles over truth, the hearts and minds of Generation Z, and the Israel-Hamas conflict. Dr. Myers offers a treasure trove of strategies poised to inspire anyone involved in or seeking wisdom in these crucial battles. You’ll hear a clarion call to uphold personal integrity amid societal manipulation, and be reminded to recognize your indispensable role in God’s ongoing cultural commission.

Easter Part 1: The Continuing Work of Christ

The Hebrew people in the Old Testament anticipated a Messiah that would be a priest and a King, radically changing every area of our worldly experience, and restoring it to God’s original intentions. Welcome to a two-part Easter series as we look at the practical impact that Christ’s death and resurrection has on each of our lives. When Jesus came, He never intended for us to keep our faith relegated to attending church and being privately spiritual. The same power that rose Jesus from the grave lives in us, and gives us power and purpose to continue His work in the world. Jesus says He is with us always and that He has all authority in heaven and on earth. He also calls us to make disciples, teaching them to obey everything He has commanded. This is an all-encompassing call, given by an omnipotent God. Where is He calling you to partner more fully with His ongoing work in the world?
