Applying DNA teachings to everyday life: One woman’s testimony from West Africa

Today, hundreds of volunteers all over the world are actively training others in the Biblical worldview through Vision Conferences and other teaching events.

God uses these trainings to transform his people and spur them into action, applying what they’ve learned to better love their neighbors and show them Jesus. Here is a brief testimony from Emma, a school teacher in West Africa who exemplifies how God is revealing himself to many people through the obedience of his followers.

EmmaThrough the DNA teaching, I got to know that we–all human beings–are created in the image of God, and we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. Formerly, I was very quiet, just being to myself, but when I heard this message, it opened my mind. I began to act, and now I always feel the need to share this truth and the little I have or get.

Now, in my community, people see me and come to me for all types of advice and help. I always pray that I will get so that I can give. I and several others who heard the DNA teachings created what we call the Wholistic Club. This is a club for helping women in our community not only spiritually but in every area of life. We include both Muslims and Christians.

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this
site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and
appearance. I must say you’ve done a great job with this.
In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Safari.

Superb Blog!

The Gospel Has No Significance for Society

Christian nationalism was recently denounced by John MacArthur as a faulty viewpoint. He says things will get continually worse on Earth. Unfortunately, this view cultivates apathy and even discourages cultural influence. In contrast to this view, Christ teaches us to pray: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” If things will only get worse, then what was the justification for the profoundly positive influence of Christian leaders like William Wilberforce? And why should we, as Christians, work to eradicate slavery, human trafficking, and abortion? Wherever God has placed you, whether in a family, school, political office, or bakery, you are called to faithfully represent Christ and His Kingdom in everything you do. It’s time for a faith that is active, not passive, in the face of challenges.

Words Worth Rejecting or Redeeming with Dr. Elizabeth Youmans

Words are constantly created and redefined in our day. With such dramatic shifts, how can we have the “mind of Christ?” Words are not just sounds we utter; they are powerful building blocks for culture. Words and their meanings shape our thinking, convictions, beliefs, and worldview – ultimately bringing about our actions. Which words need to be redeemed? Are there words that need to be rejected? Today we are joined by author, teacher, education consultant, trainer, speaker, and our good friend, Dr. Elizabeth Youmans, who helps us think deeply about this while helping us consider specific words like, gender, marriage, liberty and more.
